    Description

There is very little data available on replacing the dial cord string on vintage radios. At times, the information for restringing is shown on the Rider's diagram, but don't count on it. Cord replacement was only used to "fill" in the page thus optional for each model of radio. This kit is generic, but with accurate instructions.
This kit includes  six (6) ft. - approx. of .028 diameter dial cord  (new stock-not reclaimed), four springs to use to set/control the cord tension and a pair of printed pages included to give you tips on how to make it all happen.
From personal need, this kit was developed and sold for many years now. You will find you need a third hand when doing the stringing and I eventually bought a hemostat from the hardware store and used this clamped to one end of the cord and let it hang down from the bench while you do the stringing/wrapping. Of course, you can develop your own method as I did.
Good luck with your restoration project!
