    This sale is for one used TIVO Bolt Series 5 Model TCD846500 upgraded from an  original 500 GB  to 3,286 SD hours or 477 HD hours.  It will work over  the air (OTA) with an external antenna or with compatible cable service by  installing a cable card provided by your cable service provider.  It will  not work simultaneously with antenna and cable - it's one or the other.  It has lifetime service, so no monthly  subscription is needed (the service can be transferred to you by you following  instructions from TIVO).  It is excellent working condition. I reset the unit to factory defaults.  The unit is cable  card ready.  The included TIVO TGN-RC30 remote is black in color on top and  black underneath.  If you are not familiar with TIVO, TIVO can  record over-the-air (OTA) signals and cable signals (with a cable card).  TIVO cannot record streaming services.
    Please examine  the pictures - these are the actual items that I will ship to you.   If it is not in the pictures, it is not included in the sale.  Please note  that I blacked or blued out the serial number in the photos.  They are not  blacked or blued out on the device.
    Please note that buying this item with a  lifetime subscription does not allow you to transfer the lifetime subscription  to another TIVO device.  The following is cut and pasted from the TIVO website:

    Any TiVo DVR
    Product Lifetime Service is valid only for the life of the TiVo  DVR for which it was originally purchased and can be transferred  to another DVR only in one of the following situations:
    You activated the TiVo DVR with Product Lifetime Service  less than 30 days ago.
    The TiVo DVR was exchanged under warranty, either through  the retailer or the manufacturer. (Proof of this exchange  will be required).
    The TiVo DVR was activated under an incorrect service  number.
    After you  purchase this TIVO device from me, you must contact TIVO to activate the service into your account.  I am the original and only owner of this device.   By the time you receive the device, I will have followed the TIVO instructions and cancelled the service from my account.  The following is cut and pasted  from the TIVO website:

    You must cancel service on your device before the new owner can  activate their own service.
