    Description

    This is a cube rhodonite necklace with a rhodonite pendant. The necklace is about 17 3/4" long and has a toggle closure.
    Rhodonite is manganese silicate and is found mostly in metamorphic rocks. It named after a Greek word rhodos which means rosy and is red to pink in color and may have black inclusions and veins.
    It is found in many parts of the world mainly in Russia where it has been used in palaces of the czars. It is  mined in Massachusetts and is their state stone. It is also found in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Australia South Africa, Canada and the UK.
    It has a hardness of 5.5 - 6.5.

    Use a soft brush mild detergent and warm water when cleaning. Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning. Store separately from other stone to prevent scratching.
