    Description

This is a set of 8 reproduction "dark wine" colored push buttons made by Renovated Radios LLC. These fit the 1940 Philco console radios. If your model number (found on a paper tag on the inside back of the radio) starts with "40-", then your radio is a 1940 model.
These buttons measure 1/2 inch across the widest part and are 5/8 inch long. If you are not sure if they fit your radio, measure the total length of your old buttons. Other Philco wine-colored push buttons are 1-1/8" inches long, or 1-5/8 inches long and are used on 1939 models.
1941 Philco radios used a brown pushbutton, not the wine-colored ones shown here. You can find them in my eBay store.
To install the buttons, put a daub of RTV or Elmer's glue on the shaft, and install the button. Otherwise, they may fly off the shaft when activated. :-) Don't use SuperGlue, as you may need to remove them in the future.
Check your triangular chassis corner mounts on the corners of the chassis. If they are split or squashed, the chassis may be sitting too low, and the control shafts and pushbuttons may bind on the front of the radio. Corner mounts can be found in my eBay store.
