Rare and Beautiful 1967 "CBW" Sheridan Blue Streak 5mm 20cal Air Rifle

See photos. This is a  Sheridan "CBW" (by catalog description drilled and tapped at the factory for a Williams peep sight) model Blue Streak.  Serial number  7691B         Barrel rifling is good.  I sanded by hand  to bare wood down to 400 grit and refinished with my special secret gunstock oil. I installed a new Williams peep sight ( value) to fit perfectly in the factory holes.
This gun  chronographed   642      feet per second using 8 pumps*
*Please note that I perform chronograph tests at nearly 5,000 feet altitude.  Pumping up at lower altitudes will increase velocity around 6-7% with the same number of pumps.  This is due of course to the denser air at lower altitudes, and thus more volume of air with each stroke.
In my opinion the Streaks are the finest air rifles ever made.  Sheridan's use of quality walnut for the stock speaks to the commitment they had for quality.  Good ones are hard to find, and like they say, "they aren't making any more of them."
