STEPHENS "B" BATTERY FOR TUBE RADIO
22.5 VOLTS
FOR DISPLAY ONLY
THIS is a vintage or probably antique B battery for an early vacuum tube radio. It was a 22.5 volt battery, which of course is discharged, and for display only. Somewhere on the internet I saw that the A.J. Stephens Co. began in or about 1930, though I cannot guarantee that. The label lists that manufacturer plainly, and had a trade name at the top. Unfortunately, that part of the label is missing, and I can only read, "TRE__". It measures approximately 5.5 X 3 X 2.75 inches, and is in decent cosmetic condition, with losses as seen in the photos. There is some edge wear and some of the paper has separated from the case, see photos for additional condition details.
I have a thirty (30) day return policy during which you may return the item for any reason or for no reason as long as it is in the same condition in which I sent it. Insurance is included in shipping.
ALSO please note that any damage caused in shipping must be pursued through an insurance claim, as for a refund, the item must be in the same condition in which I shipped it. After that is settled, if notice of damage is given within the 30 day period, I will still make a refund if desired. Should there be any problem upon receipt, please contact me directly through the e-mail system, rather than complain to eBay. I can do the same thing they will do, and probably do it quicker.
My wife goes in the hospital Tuesday, June 15.  Anything paid for by 3 PM Monday will go out Monday or Tuesday; otherwise, it will be later this week or early next week before I can ship.  My apologies, but this is something beyond my control.

Furthermore, if in the inspection period, you decide to send the item for expertizing, I will extend the period until its return from the expert of your choice. If it returns with an opinion of not genuine, or of being significantly different from how I describe it, I will also reimburse you for the expertizing fee. And the ONLY exception to my guarantee is that I am not responsible for mishandling by the mail system, and any damages incurred therein. That is what postal insurance is for.
