This is a sterling silver nautilus shell and cultured freshwater pearl necklace & earring set. . The necklace is about 18 " long. The necklace has a lobster claw closure. The earrings are for pierced ears. The earrings are about from the top of the hooks 2" x 1". There are a matching bracelet and adjustable ring on separate listings.
Nautilus shells are from a marine mollusk. The name is from ancient Greek and means sailor. They are normally smooth with a coiled area. The shell consists of two layers, a matte outer area and an iridescent inner area. They are found in the Southern Pacific and the Indian ocean in Indonesia and northern Australia.
