The M.K. Morse Company’s Advanced Edge Power Reciprocating Saw Blade for Metal takes reciprocating blade toughness up a notch! Each advanced edge reciprocating blade starts with an extremely sturdy, break-resistance body. Next, the cobalt-steel alloy teeth are laser welded to the base creating an extremely sharp, fast-cutting edge, and the extremely long-lasting Bi-Metal constructed saw blade that you’ve come to love from MK Morse. The Morse Advanced Edge Power reciprocating saw blade takes it to the next level with the straight tooth pitch for smooth cutting, extra wide 1” beam, and blunt nose which is better for edge cutting and also increases rigidity and strength even against the most aggressive cutting jobs. Put simply, The Morse Advanced Edge Power reciprocating saw blade “powers” through the toughest applications. This heavy-duty blade is perfect for cutting ANY machinable metal, as well as wood, wood composite, plastic or rubber. Master Cobalt Reciprocating Saw Blades have conventional shanks making them universally compatible with standard reciprocating saws and sawzall’s of any brand.
The 6” x 1” x .042” Advanced Edge Power Blade for Metal with 14 TPI is 6 inches long, 1” wide, .042” thick and has 14 Teeth Per Inch. This combination of specifications provides the following advantages: 6” inch blades are more rigid than longer blades resulting in a straighter cut. 6” inch long recip blades are the perfect size for cutting work pieces that are 3 to 4 inches wide (Your blade length should be 2" - 3" longer than the width of the material you are cutting to prevent slipping. Additionally, your blade should not be so much longer than your material or else wobbling and vibration can occur.) . The 1” width creates an extremely strong beam to prevent bending and enhance its ability to create straighter, faster cuts. The .042” thickness is considered “medium to heavy duty” thickness making it a perfect combination of fast and durable. Saw saw blades with .042” thickness cut faster than .050” or .062” blades and leaves a small kerf on your work piece. Finally, the 14 TPI makes this blade favor metal applications but still capable of cutting wood, wood composites, nail-embedded wood, plaster, rubber, common building materials or plastic with ease.
